A week ago today, I lost my cousin
Cassie was 3 years older than me, and we grew up in the same town. She was like a big sister to me. We played out at our grandparents’ farm together when we were little. We worked together in the summer, sang together, played sports together, laughed together, drank together… we even shared the same middle name. She was beautiful, and I looked up to her so much.
